That is how we started a video to honor our retiring pastor. Bro. Ron is… It was full of words or statements to finish that phrase. Some were funny. Others were poignant. All were heart felt.
After 18 years of service at Temple Baptist Church of Rogers, Arkansas and 49 years of ministry, Ron Fields has decided to retire from the full-time pastorate. He has been my pastor since 1999 when we moved to Northwest Arkansas to begin a mission church in the area, but over the last 6 years I have really learned to appreciate this man. He is a voice of reason and calm in almost every situation. He is a pastor with a pastor’s heart. He is a man full of grace. He is faithful. I could easily go on for some time describing this man who has been my boss and leader for the past several years. Ultimately, I am thankful for my time with him. He has made me a better minister and man.
