This past Sunday, I unofficially began my training plan for my two fall marathons.  Why unofficial?  It is unofficial because my training plan doesn’t start till Sunday, but I need to start running to make sure I am ready for my first big run of the plan, 6 miles.  It is going to be hot as I begin training.  As I write this, it is already 88 degrees today and is supposed to reach 91.  It is going to be hard when it really gets hot this summer.

Starting something can be the easiest part as well as the hardest.  Starting a diet and exercise program can definitely trying. When we be changing what we do and what we put into our bodies, we rebel.  All sorts of thoughts come to our minds.  “I don’t really need to change… I can wait until later in life… None of my friends are making these type of changes…”  The list goes on from there.  If you want to change your life and your health, you must start some where.  You have to take those first steps.  Running a marathon is difficult, but STARTING your training can be even harder.

Start making changes in your life today and watch God bless those.
